Signature Hole Blasting

In any situation where vibration from blasting has to be controlled to a pre-determined limit signature hole blasting and analysis can provide an approximate indication of expected charge weights (MIC) & PPV's during normal blasting.
When firing the signature holes several vibration monitors or seismographs are set up near the effected structure or residents property to record the information.
From this downloaded information PPV levels can be calculated to provide a 'k" factor for scaled distance calculations. Also blast induced frequencies and specific delays between sequential firing holes can be determined.
Each are of the site may be slightly different than the previous blast so updating this information is vital to optimising the blast and minimising the costs.
